Weird Al Does His Best Rivers Cuomo Impression in Weezer's 'Africa' Video

Back in May, Weezer granted a fan's viral request to cover Toto's "Africa," and now, four months later, the band has revealed an equally epic music video.

Weird Al Yankovic and a band of doppelgängers play Rivers Cuomo and company in a clip that recreates Weezer's 1994 "Undone (The Sweater Song)" video, blue backdrop and all. At first, the video looks innocuous enough to the untrained eye, but as it progresses Weird Al gets, well, weirder, as he begins to wiggle and gyrate as he sings. At one point he even busts out his signature accordion for a solo. By the end of the video, the keyboardist is laying on the ground and the drummer walks away from his kit, air drumming the rest of the song.

It's truly a sight to behold, and perhaps uncoincidentally was co-directed by Brendan Walter, who made his feature film directorial debut with SPELL. The movie features new music by Weezer.

Watch the funny "Africa" video below.

Though Weird Al's inclusion in the video may seem a little random, it's actually not. Last month, Weezer invited the king of satire onstage during a Los Angeles show to play the "Africa" keyboard solo on his accordion.

As for Toto's reaction to the cover? They love it.
