Paris Hilton shared a Tik Tok video debuting her new van on Monday (May 13) that sparked concern among followers. According to Page Six, the reality star attempted to show off her new "sliving mom van," with children, Phoenix, 1, and London, 6 months, incorrectly buckled into their car seats.
Followers were quick to comment on the since deleted video in concern of the children's safety, stating that Hilton needed to make a few adjustments to her car seat setup. Rather than take offense, Hilton was grateful for the "parent police" and responded with appreciation for looking out for her "cutsie crew."
"I am a new mom and just learning as I go. So I appreciate advice when it is kind 😇 as I’m just trying to be the best mom I can be. Everything that comes to me with love and kindness I will always take with love." The "Simple Life" alum posted an updated video a day later assuring followers that she took their suggestions and is thankful for their advice.
Fans praised the mother-of-two for her calmness, noting that parents often get upset regarding car seat advice from other parents.
“I see lots of people have mentioned the few adjustments still needed but I just want to say you’re doing great. So many times parents get so upset regarding car seat advice,” one follower wrote. The 43-year-old entertainment icon has received an abundance of criticism since expanding her family. She told fans last year that she is used to the judgement that comes with living in the spotlight, but she does not condone targeting children.
“Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable. It’s hard to fathom that there are people who would target such innocence.”
