PlaqueBoyMax has worked with several major artists within the last year, and now he can add Will Smith to his impressive résumé.
The veteran rapper and actor stopped by the streamer's studio on Tuesday, March 18, for another installment of Max's "In The Booth" series. PlaqueBoyMax sat behind the boards while Smith dropped some fresh bars for a new song called "Attention."
“ATTENTION! It’s the return of the GOAT/The people’s champ and I fought off the ropes," Smith spits. "I don’t even walk anymore, I just float/Oh, you still talkin’ young boul? Just take notes.”
Will Smith and PlaqueBoyMax created the song in one take. The two continued to chop it up in the studio . Their conversation occurred as both artists have released fresh music over the past few weeks. PlaqueBoyMax garnered plenty of success with his collaboration with DDG "Pink Dreads" and has invited other artists like Cash Cobain, Kevin Gates, and Wiz Khalifa to cook up new music in his studio. Max also just dropped his debut EP 5$TAR SESSIONS: LONDON featuring Lancey Foux, Skepta and more. The project was created in one night during his time in the UK.
Meanwhile, Will Smith is preparing to release his first album in 20 years. He recently announced the release date for Based On A True Story and confirmed the official tracklist. The album will feature DJ Jazzy Jeff, B. Simone, Teyana Taylor, Russ, his son Jaden and more. It also holds his recent single "Beautiful Scars" featuring Big Sean and OBanga along with "First Love" which dropped last month.
