Floating Bar Off the Coast of Jamaica Seeks Substitute Bartender

Floyd's Pelican Bar, a ramshackle watering hole that's propped up on stilts and located a mile off the coast of Jamaica, is seeking a substitute bartender this summer for owner Floyd Forbes.

CNN reports that the one-week gig is open to "UK residents with bar/pub experience."

Job requirements include chatting to locals and tourists, throwing the occasional fish to the resident pelicans, smiling at passing boats, and "commuting by boat or paddle board, even when the weather is a little too beautiful to go to work." Says bar co-owner and former model Jodie Kidd, "This is an incredible chance for anyone looking to combine the best job in the world with one of the best overseas destinations--and giving a local legend a well-deserved holiday."

Whoever gets the gig will also receive a pair of round-trip tickets to Jamaica courtesy of Virgin Atlantic flights, plus seven nights' accommodations, $1,150 in spending money, and a trial shift at Floyd's Pelican Bar.

Interested applicants can visit Virgin Holidays' website for further details and full terms and conditions.
