Just a warning that youâll have âEasierâ by 5 Seconds of Summer on repeat đ Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, May 23, and debuted their latest single âEasierâ live on-air. The Australian foursome also teased an "abundance" of new music is to come and dished on their forthcoming iHeartRadio 2019 Wango Tango performance.
âThe song is coming from, on Youngblood, we kind of discovered we wanted to go for more of an electronic sound with industrial influence and this song was written with Charlie Puth, Ryan Tedder and Ali Tamposi which was awesome â new collaborations for us,â the band explained of the sure hit.Â
âWe all challenge ourselves to bring something fresh to the table,â Ashton continued. âEspecially on this fourth album, we all had to agree to continue pursuing something that was fantastic and new for this band and thatâs why the sound has changed. Itâs a great evolution from Youngblood.âÂ
Their subsequent tour with The Chainsmokers is also part of their evolution.
âItâs a great way to open us up to a brand new audience,â Calum shared. âAnd this band always wants to take on challenges.â
Theyâll also not only be performing at iHeartRadioâs 2019 Wango Tango on June 1, but opening the sold-out concert which features the likes of Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers, Halsey, Zedd, Ally Brooke with special guest Tyga, Ava Max, Fletcher and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT).
Ryan Seacrest broke the news to the boys on-air and also helped the foursome give away tickets to a lucky winner.Â
âWe have an abundance of new music coming which is fantastic news particularly for us because weâre sick of playing the old ones,â they teased, adding theyâre âthinking about opening with âEasierââ for Wango Tango. Â
