When shelling out money for college tuition, parents want to know they're spending their money wisely, and now Princeton Review is letting them know if they're making a wise investment. The college guide has just released the 2018 edition of “Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Schools That Give You the Best Bang for Your Tuition Buck,” listing the nation's best schools for academics, affordability/financial aid, and for getting their graduates out the door to satisfying and rewarding careers.

Schools making this year’s edition were judged for their best return on investment, looking at things like academics, cost, financial aid, graduation rates, student debt and more. In addition to the Top 50 schools, Princeton Review also released six other lists pertaining to specific categories like Best Financial Aid, and Best Career Placement.

Overall, this year's school that gives students the best bang for their buck is Stanford, which takes over the top spot from last year’s top college, Princeton. Meanwhile, Bowdoin College in Maine is the best for Financial Aid, while Harvey Mudd College in California is the best for Career Placement.
