Matt is a firefighter with Los Angeles City Fire Department and he and his family were nominated for My Holiday Hero by their friends at the Ventura County Fire Department (which is where Matt started his career).
Unfortunately Matt and his family recently lost their newly purchased home in Ventura, CA, and everything inside of it, during the Thomas Fire.
Valentine called up Matt to tell him that he has been nominated as MY Holiday Hero and to give him, his wife Allie and their two young children, Jace (2) and Ava (8 months), some help before the holidays.
